there is not enought demand for it to happen. you could purchase one for the celica gt or mr2, but the piping would need to be redone.

If there is one I would buy it on the spot? I really don't want to buy a turbo which I have to take off every 2 years to pass smog.

i agree with nick, i dont wanna take the thing off every couple of years. does anyone know how the smog tech will know if the turbo kit is smog legal? is there a sticker or something? i figure if there is just a sticker, then i can always get a turbo kit thats approved for another car, slap it on and pretend like it is approved for my car? does that sound reasonable or pretty stupid?

it is very easy to pay some hack job mechanic to overlook the visual and just place your car on the sniffer.. in which case, you will pass as long as your car is tuned correctly

think about it this way. 2 years of bliss makes the hassle of 1 day removing the setup, and another day re-installing all worth it

hehe damn... CA must be air nazi's or something... lol

The limits I think are pretty close to CA here in CO and I passed with flying colors... what's the big deal? if all you're worried about is your emissions, just tune yur stuff right and you're good to go. if they will fail you for simply having a turbo w/o a CARB cert then yeah, gotta rip it off... hell by the second time you'll have it down... LOL

That's what they keep saying, then once it gets CARB approved they're going to jack of the price.
