    Car Might Be Totaled :(

So on Friday March 3rd, I was rearended by a girl who was "rubbernecking" in rush hour traffic. I didn't think the damage was terribly bad considering just the passenger side front corner of her bumper collided with the driver side rear corner of my car. Only the bumper, left taillight, trunk and part of the quarter panel were damaged. It may sound like a lot, but in person it doesn't look as bad.

Anyway, fast forward until today, when I'm scouting out shops to do the repair work. Not only are shops giving me a hassle over dealing with the Earl Scheib paint job, but several have given me quotes in the $2000 dollar range. My insurance company hasn't taken a look at the car yet, but if the damage were to turn out to be that expensive to fix, I'm afraid they're going to total the car. :( I don't have much of a point, but this is just a rant since I've just been pretty upset at the thought of losing the car, especially since I'm not in the best position to buy something better until this summer. THIS SUCKS!

    Pics to come.

Same type of thing happened to me last year. Over $1200 in damage. I was scared they were going to total it, so glad they didnt. Good luck man.

Dude if you do go through the insurance to get it fixed (hers hehe) the companies that you take to get an estimate HAVE to go by certain prices in the book. Its illegal for them to bump the cost up. If you do not go through the insurance though, the estimate they give you will be higher.
