Can we paint the engine cover with brake caliper paint?

I know brake caliper paint is used for metal surfaces and I also know our engine cover is not a metallic surface. But would it be ok to use BC paint on our engine covers and other components in our engine bay (i.e. battery clamp, hoses, valve covers, etc). It would seem like a good idea since BC paint can withstand 900 degrees, only problem is if the paint would work on non-metallic surfaces. I plan to use this type of paint: http://midwayautosupply.com/detailedproductdescription.asp?2553
Also, how many cans would I need to paint my calipers? How about calipers and drums? Calipers, drums, engine cover, and engine components? Thanks for the help.

    I did...

Not that same brand but 900 degree caliper paint.

I used a non-metalic (pastic/carbon fiber) primer first. Also, I baked my cover.. in the oven (lol) at 200 for 1 hour.
