    Caliper Question

Hey guys I was just wondering if the 2000-up Celica brake calipers would fit a 2002 Toyota Corolla?.Im not sure if they would be a significant upgrade but I would like to try it.Also, would a 9th gen strut bar fit the 8th?,DC Sport makes a tight titanium strut bar for the 03-up.

I haven't measured the exact bolt patterns - but the caliper mounting bracket on a 7th gen Celica look completely different than the 8th gen (compared my 2002 Corolla to my 2003 Matrix which are similar to the Celica's). The Celica having larger rotors and moving its calipers further away just compounds the fitment issue. Could just swap over the entire hub from one to the other, some fab work, and have it fit. Or hit up Wilwood for their big brake setup for the 8th gen Corolla. Same goes for the strut tower bar - different lengths between the generations.

If just the front caliper, you can use the 2.2 carmy!! I saw it in the tawian corolla forum. They said it's just plug & play for the gen 7th rolla, for gen 8th, you will just need to change something. Let me try to find that post and add some more information. :D

edit: I posted it in the DIY section, go there and take a look man. :)
