    CAI will not fit on a -- 04 Corolla S ??????????????

I just got a TRD CAI and on the installation manual it says " Will not fit 2004 Matrix XR-S or any Corolla S or other Corolla with fog light."

Has anyone put a CAI on corolla S and had problems. The online store that I got it from said it will fit all corolla 03 and up. They even took the VIN number to make sure it will fit. I guess that was just a joke.

Question about the TRD CAI on a Corolla CE, will it fit no problem since it has no foglights just like the "S" ?

Yup, on a CE you will get on perfect fit without denting the filter.....because there is no foglight

yeah, the description of the TRD intake can be decieiving. By all means, it will fit on the new Corollas, but the fog lights (if you have them installed) gets in the way of the filter. The intake piping itself is a perfect fit and replaces stock intake. Some people have the filter pressed against the fog lights as best as they could but at the same time not damaging the filter too much.

I have TRD CAI on my 04 Corolla S. No fitment problems, except you have to dent the filter because of the foglights or you can shift the filter upper so the filter is just sitting on the foglight housing.

    Good luck with your CAI.

Ok..guys..I put the TRD CAI and it sounds great. Took about two hours but worth it. The only problem is that I have lost low end power but nice gain on the upper end.

For anyone who will do this mod in the future. Make sure to take off the fog light first and install the filter and then push the fog light back a little. This way you mightl minimize the dent on the filter.

oh...ya..the TRD manual sucks...you cannot see the pictures clearly...

    My next mod is springs.

    I have two question.
Tein H-tech, will it work with my current structs....
if not..what type of structs should I look for and where. Links pls.

    Thanks.
