    what amplifier kit you guys are using for those who have a sound system.......and i'm also wondering how long the wire needs to be from front of the car to the trunk..........is 17" enough? what gauge is the best..............4awg???

    let me know your wiring ~ cables.........plz

    cause I don't know what i need to buy..............

    I have h-u, speakers, one 4 channel amp, mono amp, 1x12" ........to install

    12 FT of 4awg should be enough. Your GROUND wires should be of equal gauge but less than 12" long.

    I don't use amp "wiring kits", because you'll most likely end up having too much extra wires left over.

    ground wire needs to be under 12" ???

    or can go higher.......

    so it takes at least 12" to wire from front to back..............

    He's saying the ground wire has to be under 12 inches. The ground wire can be longer if you use a larger gauge wire. I needed 16 feet to get from the battery to the trunk.

    The ONLY wire that needs to be connected directly to the battery is the POSITIVE; so this will be around 10FT long... Your GROUND wire should be as short as possible (about 1FT) You just ground your amp to your car's metal chassis somewhere.
