    So they were originally silver, then painted black?

    They were powdercoated black,what you see there is the baremetal underneath, once i get all paint and tires off i'm going to polish the hell out of um and get a good shine.

    Strong ass aircraft paint stripper, and a metal paint scraper.

    Nope , only eats through the powdercoat does nothing to the metal.
