    buying a 2000 rolla 5speed

what up guys. I went to a dealership today and managed to find a 2000 ce w/5speed. Right now i have a 99 ce auto. The price is about the same and it has 17000 miles less than i do right now. its got vvt-i which is something i dont have, and incase i didnt mention, it has a 5speed! i test drove it and it felt pretty damn nice. So when it comes down to it, my payments would be the same, insurance would be the same. The only thing i would loose are my minor mods, which is good in a way because I would like to start fresh anyways on a 5speed. do you guys think its worth it? cause if all works out well, ill do it within hte week.

Your payments will be the same. but how much longer will it extend your loan?

well what kind of minor mods do you have?

i say find a friend that has a stock 98-02 corolla

trade all your "minor" parts for their stock ones..for now

trade in your car, get the 5 speed

then swap back your minor parts to the corolla..give the stock parts back to your friend..if you have an intake for non-vvti, it wont work with vvti

    1. payments will be the same loan MIGHT be extended to 72 months, but probably will stay at 60.
    2. i dont know any other people that im close to that has a 98-00 corolla.
    3. minor mods include (wheels, spark plug wires, tint, exhaust, non-vvti sri, subs, deck, plastic peices of interior painted, shaved trunk.

im thikning i want to do it, but ill probably trade it in as is because like i said, i would like to start fresh and not fuck things up like i did along the way with my old car. Ill probably end up painting it a diff color cause i dont really dig the gold color. itll run me 1000 out the door. i really want that damn 5 speed though!

i say try to find somebody that'll lend you parts for like a day..then swap out what you can..but if you cna't..try to put back YOUR stock parts..so you wont lose as much
