Bulb Number for console lights?

What is the bulb number for a 2000 corolla interior bulb that goes where the A/C is, fan speed, and all that stuff in that area? I wanna chanage the bulbs to be redish orange to match my guage cluster that i just got

i believe it's an l.e.d....and you have to cut and solder a new one. its quite a complex process but has been done by several people on this board. do a quick search, you should be able to find more info that way

hmmm i guess i will have to cut and solder, that sucks, i thought it would be a simple process such as exchaning bulbs....

Go ahead and read through the whole thread if you'd like, it can be kind of confusing if you don't read through it all one time.

Are you speaking of the lights behind the circular A/C button? To open that this is what I did for an 01 corolla S:
Open your dash and take off your cd player. Now you get to get the whole AC control piece off. This will be a bitch. First undo the bolts on the sides so you can move it around. You will see that the whole AC contorl piece is a black thing clipped onto a white thing behind it. First undo the bolts on top of the thing to get the defog/use outside or inside air button out. Just pull the piece through the front. With that out you can easier get to the other parts. Oh if you haven't already unclip all the adapter things for the cables so you can move it around easier.
Ok once you got the defog thing out then you need to unclip the black whole AC unit piece from the white part its connected to. There is 2 clips on top and 2 on bottom. This part took me a while because there isn't much space to work with and get things unclipped. Once you get it off you will pull forward and it won't come out completely. To finally get it off, you need to look on the right side of the long piece sticking out of the actual A/C button. Basically behind the A/C button there is a black housing. On the right side of this housing there is a little tab you need to push in while you pull out so the whole AC housing can get out. Once you get the whole AC housing out you should be able to figure out how to open the housing around the A/C button. Its got a wierd system of lights in there. One bulb in a socket thing that you can twist to get off and one right angle LED in its own housing.

If you figure out what to do with these then post back here. I opened it yesterday to see what I need but put it back together. I'll open it later this week again to actually change stuff and I'll try to take some pics on the install. If you figure out something to do with the right angle LED though I'm open to ideas
