    I've heard those batteries don't store a whole lot of total energy so they're only good for maybe 2-3 starts before they run out of juice. (have to rely on being recharged every start) other than that it's probably a good way to reduce weight if needed.

    personally I'd just move the stock battery to the trunk in our cars for better weight distribution

    lol... i tried doing that... using 0 gauge wire. it adds even more weigh to the over all vehicle... maybe about 10 more lbs... due to wireing...

    if u really want a 2 battery setup i'd do it the right way and just put 2 optima yellow tops and connect them with either a 4 guage or a 0 guage... Depending if i can 0 guage good, most likely 4 guage and make sure i ground the 2 batteries really well

    or 2 energizer batteries like the one i have that have the same power rating as the optima except for CC which is 20 less

    most shops around here just use a Hawker odyssey motorcycle battery for the track cars.

    no single setup. weight reduction. not to add weight.

    i see hondas use a small little optima battery, are those the same as stock?
