Bought a House!! **updated with some pics**

Bought a larger home finally. We've been kinda looking for a few months now, and even put a contract in on one a few months ago...but someone else offered just a little bit more and their contract was accepted.
This one was built in the mid 90s, has a brand new furnace and 3 ton A/C unit, all brand new andersen windows, new marble tiling in the top floor bathrooms, all new appliances in the kitchen installed last month, 1/3 of an acre, full back deck, patio at the base of the deck......and we wrote a 42 inch wall mounted plasma screen and a full dining room set into the contract.
We settle on it and move in at the end of september....our current house isnt even on the market yet!
Theres already a few plans for the house, before we move in...we're replacing the tile in the kitchen, even though the existing tile is pretty new itself. I dont like the color though. And we're pulling up the carpet in the basement and replacing it with carpet that we like.

Im planning on setting up the garage before we move in as well...seal the floor, bring in cabinets, etc. Doing this house right! We have so much equity in our current house that we can put down 20% downpayment, pay off our current mortgage loan, pay off any debt, and have about 40k to throw into a savings account, which will be invested and also put back into the house. Save it for a rainy day.

Thats great. We're doing the Rustoleum garage floor enamel. Are you going to do any of the work? I like doing stuff like that. You've gotta be excited.

Its located just east of thc city that Im living in now. It had access to 3 lakes, 21 miles of bike trails....and yeah, we're going to do all the work ourselves.

The door leading to teh deck will be replaced with sliding glass doors, as well as the door leading out from the basement.

Yeah a little less pressure. Dealing with mortgauges, homes, and construction projects are some of the most stressfull things people go through.

I'd like to see some more pictures if you'd like to share...

:D I'm happy for you! I'd imagine you are looking forward to all that stuff, especially your TV. hah. I like shopping for furniture. You have to imagine what it will all look like together. Pick colors and styles... It sounds like you guys are doing the designing and decorating. Some people just don't have what it takes to do that so they hire someone. Which is all good, but I think it's more fun to do it yourself if you can.

Yeah, the money you pay a designer can be used for actual material goods instead of paying for someone else's ideas. The entire house has been repainted, with every room painted a different color....the colors that they chose are perfect, so all we have to do is match up furniture and paintings.

Yeah, im looking forward to the TV, even though it wont be the primary TV of the house.....its currently in the family room over the fire place, which is off of the kitchen. I already have a 50 inch lcd, which will always be the primary TV. Havent decided where its going yet. We have to decide where the couch is going...the tv and couch stay together!
