    Body Kits

First, an intro.....I'm a new member here, name is Dave, I'm 61 y/o and in the process of trickin' out my 04 Rolla and I saved the body kit for last. Now for my question....I ordered an Astra Body kit from Spoilers4Less.com. I was informed today that the Astra kit has been discontinued. Does any of you know of another company that makes a body kit/ground effects that is similiar to the stock Corolla S. Only requirement I have is....it has to be ABS, under $1000 and close to a stock look. Thanks....

LOL...thanks for the suggestions. I'm looking at several different kits now. (Not a typo...I'm 61, but I still enjoy my Rolla). I'll get some pics up on Car Domain.com as soon as I get the kit installed. (So far: AEM CAI, unichip, Sherwood dash kit, TRD CF engine cover, TRD 1 1/2 " lowering springs, Megan Racing strut bar, Power1 exhaust system, Sports Max 17" rims, Fuzion ZR1 rubber, Altis grill and Altezza tail lights)
    Anyway, thanks for the help!

Yes I find it hard that a 61 one year old man is modding a rolla.
But I like it thou, it shows that he wants to be different and I like that

eh...the aforementioned 75 y-o is a huge fan of old corollas...he's partly where i aquired my obsession for them.

and they don't have much in the way of power potential.

I've done the muscle car thing (64 Vette, 67 Shelby). The Corolla is a lot of fun, and with gas prices, cheap to drive. Actually, seeing HooLaLa's Rolla on CarDomain....that's what got me started with the mods on mine. His Rolla is awesome. If it ever stops raining here, I'll get some pics this weekend of my Rolla and my wife's 04 Mustang....

i applaud you. my grandpa is 67 and he likes to trade cars and he just got rid of his 02 silver tiburon which he loved to drive and he's excited about everything I do to my car, wants me to make it a 2 door and stuff, so it's really not that unusual and you probably have enough money to do a great job faster than most of us could :)

Update: First, I want to thank all of you for your suggestions. I've spent the better part of the day on the net and the phone talking to various distributors of body kits. Seems it's more hassle than the cost is worth. Best price I found for an ABS 4 piece kit was $728, $100 shipping and they don't paint. (Another $200 from a body shop and $150-200 to install). Ah Luvs mah Rolla, but this is ridiculous! I think the $1100 I set aside for this project could be better spent elsewhere on my "baby".

One good note for today. The flood waters are gone in Detroit, no rain this afternoon and I got her washed. I'll take some pics of my car tomorrow (and one with me, for you non believers of my age ;-)

Thanks again. This is a great group of people for getting information and help with our obsession!

Sure you can w1ngzer0, don't ever grow up! Shit, I still don't know what I wanna be when I grow up! (Actually, I'm a retired Fire Chief working for Homeland Security now). Thanks for the compliment though...

Now if I could just figure out how to post a few pics to this thread.......

    Hi falnfenix

I'm not sure what you mean by "online host", but I do have some personal web space to post some pics. If I upload them there, how do I link them here (somehow)?

Okay what falen means about a online host is something like www.photobucket.com you upload the picws from your comp on to the site, they give you a code you copy it, click on the pic icon (looks like a mountain) and follow the instructions. Hope this helps

Ohhh BTW I have no probs with the aviater, I like it actually.
