    Biking?

Do you guys bike as much as you can? I really want to now but I commute 9 miles one way and it takes me up to 30 minutes in traffic to get to school. Also Im afraid because its on major roads with 45-50mph speed limits all the way. Want to get a scooter or a small bike but not sure. Suggestions?

I bike but not to commute. 9 miles is nothing with a bike though but the high speed roads is a bit dangerous to be biking on. Good luck.

you know what, alot of people actually bike to work im my town. there used to be an old rail line that ran all over the city. they puled the rails out paved it andd made it into a bike trail. you can get anywhere in town on it. id suggest a small cc scooter or bike.

this may be a little late but I ride to work and back and out in town on my bike, its a mountain bike but because of the brand its very lightweight and very quick even though it has some wide tires. its a short commute to work and back but out in town it can get pretty hectic unless i use my road bike which can be a pain in the ass literally but that is after a long while

I used to bike a lot back in high school before I got my drivers license... rarely do it now since it's dangerous around my area with drivers that don't like paying attention to the roads, alot of minivan and SUV drivers tend to cross over the center dividing into oncoming traffic  to a point where making a left turn is a hazard. Just last week a cycler was killed here because somebody opened their door and bounced the cyclist into oncoming traffic.

But if the roads were safer like they were a few years ago, I wouldn't mind biking places again.

i bike more now then i did when i younger, but i do it for exercise and the enjoyment. i will not ride my bike to work though. it gets too hot and too cold here in vegas and i also live to far from work by choice.
