Biggest engine to fit in our cars?

Ok, i know most cars are made with bigger 4cycs so they can fit smaller V6's in them or such. But our car has a small 4cyc, and doesnt seem to have much more room. Iv heard its hard to get a 3SGTE in there, so im guessing the biggest block to fit in a 2.0 maybe a 2.2L 4cyc?

Anyone have any input or know what the biggest engine you could fit in our bays is?

Im talking more of the 93-02s, although im sure the newer is probably the same.

Well, i've seen a 4.0L TT V8 stuffed into a Celica like mine. If your Corolla has about the same size/space as my Celica, then the V8 is possible.

Damn. So you could fit a 3.5L or 3.0L V6 into it? Only thing is, is that really safe, cause that sounds kinda cramped.

if you can shove a 350 into a ford ranger then you could prolly fit a 6cyl into a corolla

Man, if it could be done fairly easily to put a 3.5 in, it would be cool to have the new 3.5L Dual VVT-i engine in the avalon.

By fairly easy, im refering to about same amount of work as putting a 3SGTE into it.

well, as long as the block can fit, you can make creative design changes for all the accessories and such, if you have access to a machine shop or something, so what someone should do is get the dimensions of some toyota 6 cylinder blocks w/ the head

Fact is, for the same amount of money that you'll spend putting a V6 into a Corolla, you could have a nicely built 3SGTE, with more power and less weight.

Of course, that's not the topic at hand...

With that said, I'll betcha that a V6 from a Camry wouldn't be bad...

The Corolla has a nice amount of space in the engine bay for goodies I'm sure most engines will fit in there with the right modification of course... I'd be kinda kool to fit a Solara motor or somethin in there lol
