Engine big bore kit / tranny upgrade

    big bore kit / tranny upgrade

    hey guys... its been a while... but i was wondering if anybody know any thing about the big bore kit or auto tranny upgrade?

    any reviews? or know any places that does it?

    I know that E.L prototypes does a tranny swap if thats what you want.

    na... no tranny swap... keeping my auto... planing on doing some clutch pack upgrades... valve body upgrades... etc...

    but dont know where to go in southern cali for that type of service... vamp is getting his done for 800 bucks... here... ppl quote me around 1200-1500. labor only.

    huh...Vamp got his torque converter done by them, didn't have any major probs...if i recall, anyway.

    heard their service sucks... spoke with a few guys with their product..

    i was lookin for someone in southern cali that would work on auto trannies...

    the only prob i think that vamp had was with the transmission fluid pump breaking during the reinstall of it after putting his new TC in

    its a daily driven car... there are ppl in the family that does not know how to drive a stick...

    besides... its nice to have a fast auto...

    if i remember correctly... they dont do their TC inhouse... they send it elsewhere near their area...

    its workin on the tranny they have problems.

    yea i think that they send it out, like i said the only prob vamp had is when he reinstalled his new TC in the car, he had no probls with there service

    oh lord that was one hell of a nightmare...i don't think Sean will ever want to do another TC install.

    hehe those tranny's on corolla's are a mofo to work with... it's best to yank the whole damn thing out when doin work on it... (and the only way to do it right is to drop it out the bottom of your car *yikes*)

    we know...that's how they did it on Vamp's. they didn't expect the old transmission innards to shatter.

    heh damn - i blew my first auto apart - well actually it was a flaw in the case itself - busted a guide which in turn caused the OD/Rev unit to wobble until the pieces it shook loose destroyed the inside of my trans... i still have the busted case... sort of a sadistic reminder.

    Was almost a year ago - well before I boosted... if that happened right now that'd be the motivation I need to actually dive into this manual conversion... everything is ready to go... I just don't want to start the project... LOL

    (can't wait till I get around to dropping in my 5spd)
