    Best manual boost controller?

Hey all... I'd like to know what you think is the best manual boost controller for the money.

I'm considering the TurboXS standard one, however I've read some bad reviews on it about boost spikes..

They have the TurboXS High performance one which has a ball/spring mechanism which is supposed to drastically reduce boost spikes.

Any others around the same prices as the TurboXS brand? ($65-$140)

Honestly man just suck up and get an electronic - like the greddy profec b spec ii - they're costly (twice that of a good manual) but i doubt you'll have the probs you'll have with a manual. I ran a manual for a while and it sucked... using the profec e-01 now and it owns... no spikes, constant visual on whats goin on, etc...

the best manual boost controller is none. just get a wastegate set at your desired boost level and it'll be the most reliable way to set boost. otherwise get an electronic boost controller with a pressure activated solenoid (you need a dual port wastegate for this like Tial)

... joe p mbc is a very nice mbc. it's designed so that you need no tools to adjust. also, it's a ball and spring. that way you get increased spool time and minimal spike. www.joepmbc.com

i have the txs standard and i have had no problems... brought me up from .4 bar to .8 bar quite well. little to no spike. quite easy adjustment and calibration. although, there is a need for an allen wrench. i don't mind tho, i keep that in my ash tray. i'm also taking a look upgrading to a txs dsbc. i'de really like a profec b or a but through experience, they can take a while to calibrate and get the proper settings for YOUR car. the e-01 is only worth the money if you are gonna go with an e-manage as well.
