    Belts, question

I need a new UV or V belt or whatever its called, and serp belt also. But then someone said make sure your car has both belts or something, cause i guess sometimes you only have 1 of those or whatever. Anyone know what there talking about for sure, and how much about it is to have both replaced.

    Its a 95 7AFE.

I think that it uses 2 or 3 V-Belts and don't forget the timing belt would be do every 60 k miles. CW

there's 3 drive belts: the main one (alternator), power steering, and AC compressor belt... all 3 should be done at the same time...although-the most important one is the alternator belt...which your car relies on to function properly... timing is a totally separate element which is housed in the crankcase... as far as ease of repalcing the belts yourself? not that easy... def have a book handy, and you should be ok- there lots of lock nuts and pins that need to be loosened to create a swivel effect on the alternator for example to loosen the belt...i had a mechanic friend help me-it was alot easier with him...
