Been doing thinking. 1ZZFE people read.

I dont have a 1ZZFE corolla, but i was just doing some thinking lately.

The 98+ rolla has the 1ZZFE engine, the Celica GT has it, and the MR2 Sypder has it. Right? Right.

Now, i may be completely wrong here, but its just a thought and would be cool if you can do it fairly easy. But the MR2 sypder has the optional 6-speed tranny. Since it uses same engine, is it possible to use on a rolla or celica gt? Or since its rear engine, is it a complete different tranny?

Also, the MR2 has optional LSD. Doesnt LSD controlled through the engine? (I might be completly wrong on this), but couldnt you put the LSD on a GT celica or rolla?

Like i said, i was just doing some thinking, it might of been brought up back when mr2 first came back out.

LSD is a limited-slip differential in the transmission (you can get a Quaife LSD for about 1100 bucks at MWR).

The 6sp transmission from a Celica GTS should fit 98+ Corollas and 2000+ Celicas, but I've been told you have to grind some of the case for it to fit, and that your money would be better spent elsewhere.

Ah, ok. I didnt know the GT-S 6-speed would work on a 1ZZFE rolla. And thanks about the LSD, wasnt sure if it was part of the engine or tranny, or combination.

Sequential is not automatic there is no torque converter involved.

    IMO, 6 speed is overrated.

But Quaife has a better warranty and no clutches in the LSD.
Hell you blow up a Quaife from racing, they still replace/fix the damn thing. Rocks.
