    Bangle Butts

I thought it would be appropriate to discuss because not only do BMW's have them, but even some Toyota's and Lexus's too. It came to my attention since i'm driving a brand new Camry as a rental car and they have them. What is your opinion on them, and do you think they're as functional as Mr. Bangle himself believes?

functional as in? everyone will be throwing rocks at you? probably

    joking aside...

I'm indiferrent to it, it's diferrent...
and I think it breaks the mold....

it depends more on what backs up the bangle design, rather than the shape itself...
    example: lights, emblems, etc etc

I'm probably one of the few that actually like the design. I don't find it functional though. I don't see how it makes a car more aerodynamic.

You can just show a picture of any ole' car's rear end and say it's a bangle butt. Describe what the difference is and why it's a bangle butt.

For those that need more info on "bangle-butt"

    - basically a two level rear end design, where the fenders are separate from the trunk lid. Think old school 1980's Cadillac Seville, ie

It was dubbed the "Bangle Butt" after BMW's designer Chris Bangle. He's implemented it into the most recent BMW's..
