i'm actually considering doing that...i just don't have a rotary tool to do all the buffing. i have a friend who's got an underpowered one, but i'm not going to bother with it. it's weak.

using one of those high speed buffers is not easy!
you can very easily burn right through your paint if you're not careful.

those guys are trained to use one.

nice job btw!! that guy is good!

yup meguiars polish is the best.

I have meguiars 3 step, but im not sure I want to go through all that work this spring. esp since it'll be harder on a black car. I wish that other person who drives my car would help me wash it at least once.

i'm tellin you man, don't bother with that car. if your sister has any ability to drive it, it'll be ruined...just save up your mod money, and invest it in YOUR car when you can afford such a luxury. that'll pay off in the long run, and your sister won't have any control over it at that point.

Its not all that hard to get your car to look like that, even without the rotary...good wash, good wax, and clay bar.

Clay bar is the key.....its a little costly to get all the right products, but they'll last a while.

Clay bar is so simple.....I hear some many people saying they wont even try it.

Ya get the California bar and spray.
Ya spray the hood of your car with the detailing spray, and run the clay bar (feels like hardened play dough) back and forth. Youll feel the clay bar picking up the grit. Then take a microfiber cloths and wipe the spray off. The difference between the part you just clay bared, and the part that ya havent hit yet is like night and day.

I did a quick clay bar yesterday and it took about 30 minutes, tops.

Clay bar isnt as bad as people make it out to be.

Only precaution...do not drop the claybar. Once you drop it on the ground, you cant reuse it. It will pick up dirt, rocks, and scratch your paint.

Her eis the claybar how-to page and why it should be done

    http://www.properautocare.com/creatsmootpa.html

It is not hta hard, I have done a lot of things to my car when I had it and it was always shinny, this is a pics before I sold it:

notice the relfection of the tree on the hood.

and I have more bigger and better ones and having it that clean was a major contributor to the sale. I still liek the colorX one the best, it was easy to work with, and the shine was perfect.

Here are more pics to anyone that is bored:

All you do is glide the clay bar across the spray. No need for any force. Its actually 10 times easier, and 10 times less time than waxing it.

easier said than done...dad inspects anything car-related to see what it does, and how bad it's going to mess up the cars.
