Check the back pages of your car manual; it will specify that info.

When you drain trany fluid, you always have some additional fluid left behind in the differential (or was in in the torque converter?).

    Hi I have question.
I have Corolla 2000 with manual transmission, and now I have idea to make it automatic.
How about wire, is necessary to change them, and ECU?
Which transmission will be better A 245E or…

Thats funny! I want to change my auto to manual. Maybe he'll want to trade cars, lol.

Any how, it'll be better and cheaper (I suppose) to just get another car.

Not my area of expertise, but you will need an A245E auto trany from a 98-02 Corolla. Get the 4 speed (with overdrive) from an LE or CE model (VE’s have 3 speed only I believe). You will need a replacement computer also that is an exact match for your year and model but with auto 4 speed (eBay), not sure about the wire harness, will most likely need that too.

Your best bet is to find same year Corolla w/auto trany that you can swap from to your manual car; should not be that super hard to find someone on the boards, a few people list from time-to-time that do want a manual trany.

    A geez...you just cost yourself about $40

05's take T-IV tranny fluid DO NOT USE DEXTRON!!!

    you shouldn't need a d&f till about 30k miles, and yeah, just a d&f take 4quarts...of T-IV
