    Auto-RX Anybody use this before?

    Hi

I have Been around this forum for awhile. I am plagued with the oil consumption issue on my 98 corolla(160,000 Miles). Recently i changed my PVC and Valve cover gasket in attempt to stop oil from leaking. So far i have not noticed any difference in oil consumption , but time will tell. In the mean time i discovered a product called Auto-Rx which claims to effectively clean your internals of the engine. My guess is that i have stuck piston ring B/C I know i am not leaking oil anywhere and that i am burning oil. This topic has been covered alot and i know that its either my valve seals or my piston rings. I have concluded that it is not my valves because i dont notice any smoke in the morning when i start my car. the only indication of burning oil is that my muffler has black build up on it. So i was wondering if anybody has experience with this product? and would this stuff help with the oil consumption issue that seems to be prevelent in this particular model of corolla? I just started the auto-rx treatment and will keep you updated for thos who are interested.

    auto-rx update

I just finished the cleaning phase of the aut-rx application. During the cleaning phase my MPG went up my oil consumption went down a little bit. When i changed the oil the oil was blacker than i ever have seen oil and my oil filter was heavy and felt solid just like the previous filter i change at 1300 miles inot the cleaning phase. I am now 100 miles into the rinsing phase and let me say that my car is running better than it has ever in its life. It has noticeable power gains and accelleration the idle is smooth and the engine noise is less. i suspect that my mpg will go up and my oil consumption should reduce over time. Time will tell and I still have to complete the 3000 mile rinse phase. I plan to run two complete auto-rx applications to hopefully cure the oil consumption issue i am having.
