    Assembling the ELPCAI

So if you guys have been checking out the thread in Show Us Your Ride forum, you must have found my CAI as a work in progress. While I'm working on it, I was thinking of ordering all the accessories it will need once its ready to go in. I could use some suggestions on a good filter, (I've seen a couple and will start a poll if I get time) right sizes of couplings and hoses etc. etc....

    All help appreciated.

The ELP CAI doesn't allow much space for a long filter. You can go as wide as you like, but don't get anything longer than 5 inches. What I did was I removed 2 inches from the end of the intake with a hacksaw which allowed me to fit a longer filter straight down instead of at that weird angle it came as.

I think K&N is the best filter unless you want to hookup a ram air hose to it.

i'd go with the AEM dryflow filter 5 inches. that way you dont have to oil it for regular cleaning maint.
