Strut bars don't do too much for stiffening. Sway bars get the job done a lot better.

Are there rear strut bars for circa 1993 Corollas?

I have a '93 Corolla (E10). I know plenty of companies make front, upper, shock tower braces.

However, does anyone make a rear shock tower brace, that would mount behind the back seat? I have seen them available for the AE86 generation Corolla, but not for the 1993 era.

Anyone know where (if) I can get one, and/or any additional chassis braces?

    Thanks guys.

ok, couple things. they are availiable but most likely gonna cost a little bit more money since they will likely be custom. the front upper strut mounts under the hood on the top of the suspension setup. the rear mounts the the set of screws right behind the seat (take your back seat out and you'll see it). the ones under the car are called tiebars. those are going to be a little harder to come by. the reason you find them on the AE86 is because of a couple of reasons 1) it was an extremly popular car to tune 2)its a hatchback. since theres more weight sitting in the hatch there is more movement going on. with your sedan it pretty much levels out quickly so your not gonna feel as much of a difference.

I pulled the back seat, and there is plenty of room to mount an almost identical brace, similar to the front upper shock tower brace. The shock towers look nearly the same. A brace would fit very neatly between the two rear shock mounts, behind the back seat.

Are you saying that the rear does NOT mount on top of the shock tower braces, but rather somewhere else behind the seat?? There is plenty of sheet metal behind the back seat, but I cant see the purpose of putting a brace back there, unless it actually connects two structural pieces, like the shock towers.

    There IS one for sale:

I ordered it, and I can NOT figure out how to mount it. It is WAAAY to short to fit between the two rear shock towers. The distance between the two rear shock towers is roughly 47.6". The length of this particular brace is 30.7" Clearly, it will not connect the two shock towers, like the front brace does. NOW, if there is some other way to mount it, I have no idea.... Any suggestions??

Any links to other braces would be MUCH appreciated too. I'd really like to stiffen this thing up!

    Thanks guys.
