Tech anyone use Ulead studio?

anyone use Ulead studio?

i'm thinking of actually buying one of my first pieces of software, ever. in the past it mostly has been bundled, or given to me..

currently I have Pinnacle Studio 8. It works ok for capturing video off my ATI all in wonder 9600. only problem is that i bluescreen everytime i go to either make a disk or export the video to a stream or MPEG. I have completely removed it and installed it again, plus i have updated it. it still did it. so, i used norton ghost to wipe the harddrive clean and install my fresh copy of win xp for baseline settings and minimal software. norton ghost allows me to reinstall everything for an image i created a while ago. this image had a full working copy of pinnacle studio on it, no bluescreen problem.

after everything was installed, i went ahead and recaptured the video once again, made my cuts and i wanted to save an MPEG for me and a web sized WMV. well, it wouldn't let me export the video again.
i don't get it, nothing has changed on my computer, i even had the software installed on a different hard drive for another try at it....

whatever, i still have the captured video, i would like to use a more powerful more stable program like ulead studio. ulead studio 9 just came out...it's $65 on amazon...should i get it?

I used it a couple months ago (older version obviuosly) didnt care for it much at all. just went back to using the basics for video encoding, and some other programs for easy authoring etc/
