    Anyone try an aluminum flywheel?

I've been looking at Unorthodox Racing flywheels for awhile now. They're a bit on the pricey side, however the flywheels are 2 lbs. lighter than TRD (8 vs. 10). I have a UR crank pulley and I think it's great quality. Anyone install a different flywheel or a UR flywheel?

No, but I have been looking at the same thing. Not sure if it's worth it though. Let me know how it turns out for you if you do install them. I do remember someone in an old thread that I read saying that he did install an UR flywheel with a stage II clutch and it was an awesome combination...but, that's all I have really seen.

I have a Clutchmasters aluminum flywheel, but I had to modify it to install it. You see, I had to extend some of the holes to properly align the bolts to secure it to the engine. I've got the stage 3 clutch kit from Clutchmasters too.

What I've noticed since the install were quicker revs and acceleration. I would recommend getting either that Unorthodox, Fidanza, or the TRD versions because they probably FIT. I bought my flywheel from NOPI and it said it was for my 98 Rolla...don't waste your money on them.

Thanks much! I'll probably spend the cash and go with a UR flywheel and clutch.

I've driven a 2004 S60-R and a 2003 M3, it can't be any harder to drive than those transmissions. If you don't give 'em gas they'll stall faster than you can blink.

how do you find the different levels of the flywheels? I have a stage 1 clutch masters clutch in my 95..i want a stage 3 (bought mine from Nopi as well) but what would be good for like street wise and some drag strip racing?
