Anyone have Verizon?

    Anyone have Verizon?

    I'm probably going to drop Cingular (we can get out of the contract since we're costing them money now..haha)..Verizon is the only cell provider here with halfway decent prices - and I can get a Motorola E815 for 50 bucks. :p

    So..anyone have Verizon? Do you like them?

    We had a Verizon 'trial' back in FL, but we lived in the 'extended network'..which killed the mobile-to-mobile, etc. That was a while ago, too..

    I've heard lots of stories about Verizon. But it mainly depends on the area you are in.

    Here in the DC Metro Area, Verizon is in the top 3 of cell phone providers that are real good. I mean you'll get reception in places you never got reception before.

    I'd check with people in your area for better answers. I can say they're great but people by you will say they suck. so you will get mixed answers on this topic...

    My work phone is verizon, and we have international calling, and we have no problems at all. I can hold a conversation with someone in Baghdad, or Vienna, or London from the time I leave my building in Virginia all the way home, which is 60 miles with no drop outs. The ONLY place I EVER lose reception on that phone is when I get about 30 steps into the Pentagon....but ALL cell phones lose reception at that point, hehe

    We had a nightmare with Cingular customer service, and their service sucks up here..my only alternative is US Cellular, but they're ridiculously overpriced. :(
