    Under your sink.
just adjust your e-brake via the rear drums.

My e-brake didnt use to do sh*t but now its right on after just 3 or 4 clicks of the handle. (great for burn-outs)

    Anybody have this problem?

The other day me and my friends were having fun and I had to stop real fast so I tried an E-brake slide... But the E-brake had no effect so I almost fucked my car up...Anyone else have this problem?

A quick rear brake adjustment will solve that issue. Most dealers or brake shops will charge you anywhere from $20.00 to $45.00 for a rear break cleaning and adjustment. Its also good to change the rear break pads ever 45K. I would recommend doing the adjustment every 10K-15K so that you wont have this problem. If you find a cheap place, i think its worth doing.

if you look under the drum...and your brake shoes (pads) are still good, then there's an adjustment you can do yourself....there's a lil gear lookin thing that sits inbetween the brake shoes...if you turn it, it will tighten or loosen the shoes, in a manner of speaking.

EDIT....another thing....if you're doin 180's with the e-brake and you have that problem again, just punch your brake pedal really hard while you're turning....that should bring the rear around a lil bit. :) best to try that one in an open parking lot where there's no cars and it's just been freshly redone with that blacktop sealer stuff.

maybe it has something to do with you throwing shit out your car

yeah, just tighten it up. On our 93, it's decent, but not 3-4 clicks decent

my drums are the same way, when i replaced all 4 of my pads and rotors, i cleand out the drums and re-tightened them. but arnt they supposed to auto tighten if u back up and then hit the brakes?

mine are all fucked up now. everytime im drivin slow and press on the brake pedal they give off this awful squeal and groaning noise. i cant figure out what it is...

Well, does this happen startin out when the pads (shoes) are cold or wet? b/c mine used to do the same-it was a HORRIBLE screach-then it went a way by itself kinda-but i figured out the real solution-there are 4 pressure points were the shoes "scrape" against when you push the pedal-there should be antisieze grease there-my grease was worn down, so i had to reapply it...its tough when you dont have the shoes completely off..but if you have a small brush, you can slide that stuff right in to those spots-a pic would really help-haynes manual has it...

well, they squeal when they are dry..both hot and cold. like when im drivin in a parking lot...u only need to use light braking, and thats when it makes that god awful noise. where do i get this anti-seize stuff and where do i put it?

i took of my tires today to see if i could see anything visually wrong, but it all looks good. rotors dont have scroes in them and the pads are still fairly new.

first off-determine if the noise is comin from the rear or the front-have someone walk out side next to the car as you brake...the antiseize grease is available at any autostore for real cheap-like a dollar for a little packet-"if" the fronts are the offenders, then its tricky-there are 2 pins that slide in and out of the under the brake caliper-those are pulled out of the boot and you just "brush" them w/ the grease...the rears-you need a pic=thats all i can say...

Tip: If you're over 75K and you do your own brakes - try having your drums turned ... my car made awful braking noises when the eBrake was used or when I pushed nice n hard on the pedal... Had those drums turned and haven't had a problem since...

lol...anyway, i was actually refering to "high temperature" grease ratther than anti-seize (thats for sparkplugs and bolts), anyway, just had to point that out...im gonna work on a DIY w/ pics on a whole front brake job including rotors and pads...will have it soon..
