Wow. That takes it back a little bit, lol. It's the original emo...before it really had a name!

Speaking of 80s, you know you're getting old when you make reference to The Smiths song, How Soon is Now?, in a shoutbox and only 2-3 of the 20 or so people in it have heard the song. Sigh.

You also know you're old when people think the "Lovesong" is a 311 song, not a cover, lol!

i've listened to the smiths, they're great... and about getting old? i don't wanna be there, but its inevitable...

hahahaha, yeah, heard the 311 version... they barely made justice to the song...

i'm pretty much a fan of the 80's...

last april 10, i watched the duran duran concert here in manila, red massacre world tour... surprisingly, they played most of their old hits, which was great... and even without orignal guitarist andy taylor... le bon and the rest managed to pull it off with their guitar session player (forgot his name...)

a few weeks later, the aussie-based 80's band Real Life (circa 1984, Send me an Angel), along with When in Rome (The Promise) and A Flock of Seagulls (i ran) (oppps... only the vocalist was the original member) had a Lost 80's Concert... did they keep up with the times? well... not quite as i expected... duran duran did a better job...

i am hoping for the cure to stage a concert here, wish i get to see em....
