    Annyoing "clunk" noise

Hey guys, I've got a problem with a 95 Corolla.

I started to get this "clunk" noise everytime I pressed on the throttle or shifted gears. First suspect was motor mounts, all 4 were teared, so I replaced all 4 and still clunk noise is there. I made sure all 4 mounts screws were tight. Also crossmember and center-member section which I had to loose to replace the back mount, all were tight to factory specs.

After 2 weeks front mount was broken, so I got tired and filled that one and the right mount (trans mount) with urethane. They ended up pretty stiff, hardly to break again. Ok, I installed them again, noise was gone. Damn, after driving about 1 hour "clunk" was back again. It only happens if I floor on the throttle suddenly below 2krpm or when the clutch engages as well.

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

umm...ever consider that it may be a fuel injection issue? i used to have a clanking sound when going uphill and pressing hard on the throttle- bought the car in for an injector cleaning and it fixed it- but i think you may have another problem..

Oh, I forgot, I got a 2E engine (carbed). I know it's very rare on the U.S. but it's common in Europe or South America (were I reside).
    But thanks for the suggestion.

Yes, the tranny mount and the front engine mounts are the ones which move a lot in my case, they were so soft they flexed like a rubber band, so I filled them both with urethane. Now I've seen the noise just comes back when the car is hot and not warm or cold. So that shouldn't be my mounts anymore, I guess ?
