(Amps) Final 2 choices...Econo or Splurge?

im in desperate need of an amp and have narrowed it down to these 2. i did alot of shearching for both and found these cheap prices...

    Profile CA440 / 60Wx4 = 77bucks
    Audiobahn A4004T / 50Wx4 = 170bucks

now i know the audiobahn is better, but is it REALLY REALLY REALLY worth the extra 100 bucks for someone who loves music but doesnt want to go too nuts with all this car audio? i mean im a going to notice a ***HUGE*** difference with the audiobahn???

the intake on the audiobahn sounds cool, but is overheating REALLY REALLY and issue? does it happen often with amps without a fan?

the Profile is ALOT cheaper and has 10W per channel more, that makes it attractive to me, but i know audiobahn is a bit better. Plus the audiobahn logo lights up in a cool looking blue :p

what to do?!?!? (dont forget im on a budget  )

    all advise is GREATLY appreciated...

Those are low-end products. If you are short of budget and like a quality amp, why don't you find some used brand ones on eBay?

You can do better for the price. Consider an older MTX blue thunder series (from eBay)
like the PRO504 This one's going for $60 and I can personally vouch for these amps' reliability and sound quality! Or better yet, go for newer 4-channel MTX amps like the 4244 or 6304. Sure I might be biased with MTX, because I have used them extensively and had great results. Not to mention that they are so underrated in terms of power output.

Other "entry level, non-crap, run-off-the-mill" amplifiers include RF, Kicker, Kenwood, Clarion, Alpine, etc.

But trust me on the MTX- You won't be dissapointed!

the first amp i ever used was a profile amp and it was ok. it cost me like 75 dollars installed back in 96 and was ok. cheep and effective. but a few months ago my cousin got a Kicker amp off ebay for like 140 including shipping. i dunno the specs but the retail new a year ago was 399. keep an eye on ebay for a few days you might find a real good deal there.

UMMM you cant trust those ratings on POWER.. just cuz they say u have 60 watts x 4 DOESNT MEAN CRAP...
those are peak ratings.. what you gotta look at is the RMS rating..
60 watts x 4 is acutally more like 20-30 watts RMS .. ANd both those AMPS are pretty bad.. i'd go with HIFONICS .. they are good quality amps for a good price..
