amp help

    amp help

    i have a older jbl amp and i installed it about a month ago and it has been fine. i tried to adjust the gain and this loud noise came out from the speaker when i tried to adjust it like a really bad distorted noise. i was thinking that there was maby a loose wire or dirt on the contacts.
    please help. thanks
