Am i getting ripped off?? suspension/camber install

i have a 98 with installed tein s techs (lowered about 2") on stock struts. i know i know, but its mad bouncy now and thats my fault. i need to get at least the struts on at the end of this week, because im going on a road trip to miami for spring break.

i bought tokicos to control the bounce, got an OBX camber kit (front and rears). i went to meineke, and they wanted:
$150 struts install (i will probably do this no matter what, its the lowest i found in my area)
$100 to install the camber bolts
    =$250 total!

this is without an alignment. alignment i heard will run me $50~70.

so i was thinking of three options:
    1) get it all done at meineke for 250 and then get the alignment somewhere else? because i thought installing the camber bolts was part of the suspension installation  so my total would be $300.

    2) get just the struts installed for $150, get my friend's to do the camber bolts for me, get an alignment at a shop

    or

    3) get the struts installed for $150, and can i get the camber bolts installed and an alignment in one stop somewhere at some shop?

i guess the thing im most confused about is that i thought doing an alignment deals with the camber. unless im supposed to install the camber first, and then get an alignment. i would get everything done by my friend, but it takes a whole day and i dont have that kind of time with work and school.

you must have a toyota dealership around in your place. try going there and check with their prices. i would prefer Toyota over any Meineke shops.

go to some grungy little shop thats been around for a looong time, places like thata usually charge prices from "back in the day", and if not its alot cheaper. while not as trustworthy as toyota and big chain garages it IS cheaper and some of thes kinda places do just as good if not better work than a dealer

LOL $100 to put in camber bolts, they have to put in the bolts while installing the struts anyway. it is two simply bolts, i think they just dont know what their doing man, i wouldnt trust meineke installing any tokico struts anways.

That is way too much, like people are saying, find a small shop with a good reputation to install them, a local shop here only wanted to charge me 100$, for struts/springs/camber kit... and that's in Canadian dollars too...

$150 for all the struts isn't bad.

Now $100 for camber bolts I would be like uh? Nah..., but the alignment cost is pretty much what I have seen in all shops.

    About $50

i think im gonna go with the strut install for $150, i need it pretty badly and very soon because of the road trip.

when i get an alignment at a differentt place afterwards, can i give them camber bolts and have them insalled and adjusted for an extra cost or no cost?

Chenuine, $150 isn't bad for strut install... Meineke installs struts all day long, tokicos or mcpherson, a strut is a strut. They warranty their work too. $100 for the camber bolts, nah... go talk to the manager about that. Any reasonable person would make it right. I would just get the alignment at Meineke also, you're already in their garage, why make another trip and add another hand into the job?
