    Aluminum Dash trim from Ebay Question

    yoo i just got my aluminum dash kit from good trim on ebay...but it didnt come with the installation cd-rom that it said it would....for those of you who have installed this already....it says in the instructions that after the 3m promoter to then use alcohol to clean the dash...is it just isopropyl rubbing alcohol? what kinda of alcohol they asking for?

    i just used water to clean it... as long as there's no major dust or stains.. the adheasive would hold... dont worry.. had mine on for almost 2 years.. not a single peal...

    but isnt the promoter needed to chemically bond the kit to the dash?

    Regular rubbing alchohal should work fine, its just used to get any oil from finger prints and stuff off the plastic to get a good stick.

    No idea where to get the promoter stuff thou, might try a hardware store or a hobby store, or see if you can buy some on the net if you cant find it localy.
