    Alphawerks cat back running rich???

Wow I though this site was a goner :) Glad to see it back. Anyways I've been running the Alphawerks exhaust for a while but my engine light keeps comming on and the ECU code is "Cateletic Converter Not Running At Peek Efficiency". The problem is my car is running really rich. So rich in fact that when I go down a hill and let off the gas it shoots flames out the exhaust, my friend followed me and said my car looked like a WRC car but I was a bit worried. I can smell the gas when the car is idleing and get quite a bit of white smoke just idling. Does anyone know how to correct this issue? Alphawerks never got back to me on the issue but I'm curious what could be causing my oxygen sensor to be so far off other then that fact that this things cat is most likly just a pass though :)

    Thanks in advance...

Good to see you back Deadnick. :)
If you smell gas when idle, it's because the cat isn't "hot" yet (when start in the morning) or it doesn't working well.
I think you got the Vjet thing and the emanage right?

Have you done any engine management modification?

I got the V-Force but I disconnected it because it was a joke :) I'm going to take it apart though and jack the Throttle Position Sensor LED thing so I can integrate it into my dash. I think the CAT on the AlphaWerks catback isn't really a cat but more of just a pipe :)

its a high flow cat...and usually buying a cat is about 500 bucks. it prolly not a cat at all..more just enough to change the 02 signal but not enough.

You might need to tweek your fuel system with an emanage or something, either that or get a wide band 02 and play with it
