Actually I had a shop do it, they found a engine with 30k miles on it which was pretty low and then went though the head and made sure the valves were all clean and seals were good. After that they tossed her in and re-installed my turbo kit with a couple of modifications. Now they just need to tune the eManage and Boost Controller and they can hand it over to me. I have a Oil Pressure guage on the way since the shop suspects that I had oiling problems. I'm also going to purchase a Wide Band O2 and Pyro meter in the next few months and install them since I had them weld in a few new O2 bungs. I hope things work out better this time around because I could never go back to a N/A Corolla after having turbo.

Thanks man. This is the first time I've ever had the opertunity to take a picture of it up on a service rack. I sure wish I had one of those in my garage. And a garage that could fit it too :)

So you didnt upgrade the internals of this new engine? New pistons, rods, valvesprings etc.?
I guess you're not planning on running more than 10lbs of boost then. How much was the old motor making on 10 lbs before it blew?

Yeah, I'm likeing that blue emblem to. How much are you paying to get this all done.

I never thought to paint in intercool black, but hell I like that idea!

I thought about painting the intercooler but it just looks so damn cool silver, plus it stands out which is nice.

The new motor is just lower milage but I did't have any new internals put in. I am going to be running 8psi this time around with a good eManage map built for my car. I don't know how much HP I was making at 10 PSI on the old motor but the car felt like a rocket ship and in 2nd gear once the turbo fully spooled the tires would tear off the pavement :)

It's costing me about $2100 after tax for the new motor, turbo install w/ some re-work, tuning and a warranty. I still need to work out some stuff with the shop but that looks like the final price. That also includes some replacement parts like a new starter, battery, etc.

I really want to know what kind of HP the car has so I will be dynoing once I recover from the price of this whole operation. I won't be running 15psi on this engine though after the last fiasco. More then likly the old engine blew because of oiling problems but to maintain my warranty I'm going to stay the 8psi they tune it for.

Turbo is a scary road :) Now that I have it I could never possibly go back, but at the same time it's very expensive and very quarky to get figured out, atleast for me it was.

Yeah! I should get a NASA sticker for my bumper :) But with 8 PSI its not going to be as crazy as it was at 10 PSI. However I'm not so sure because I was running on a crap tune, maybe they can squeeze some more HP out of it since I was running super crazy rich before.

I got the car back yesterday, its running really nice, the BOV needs to be replaced because it fluxuates too much regardless of where you set the screw so its pretty hard on the turbo. The eManage is finally doing its job right too, so overall I'm really happy with the car. I have disabled the boost controller to hold me at 8 psi so we don't have a repeat incident. I have to try to make the car last for a while now that I'm broke :D

Wow, I would love to see pictures of a motor that broke all 4. My engine broke 2 but only one was easy to remove (to make my trophy out of). My turbo has very little lag. It's a Garret GT25R Duel Ball Bearing. I'll try to take some video of it spooling and post it later but first I need to finish cleaning my house because my grandparents are staying with us for the weekend. The weather outside sucks right now anyways for video taping anything :)
