    Aiming headlights (JDMs)???

I just installed them last saturday on my car and now im having problem seeing clearly at night. Im thinking my new headlights are not aimed right. Now, how do i correct the aim?

Also, another problem is i just did the conversion myself, from 9006 and 9005 to H4 and i cant see anything when the light is set to low beam... and the high beam is not really that bright, im guessing my conversion is putting not enough power to the bulbs?

Yeah when you're using the harness the "highbeam" only gets slightly brighter. I have this same setup. As far as your question, you can't really aim these lights like you can with the stock ones. Your best bet is to slide them around on the mounting points and hope that can even out the light output, but I really don't think the beam pattern for these headlights is the best.

At some point I want to get projectors, because although the bulbs I have now are brighter than stock, these headlight housings have a worse beam pattern than stock.

I have those same headlights and I tried to aim them myself, and then had them professionally aimed, and i still cant see as well as id like to. I agree with 94 in thinking that the beam patterns effed up. I'm planning on buying projectors pretty soon.

Update: You can aim the JDM headlights!

First you'll have to completely uninstall the headlights. Now, if you look on the back of the headlight housing, there are two brass knobs with a place for a Phillips head screwdriver in the middle of each one. Turn them. I've forgotten which one adjusts vertical vs. horizontal aim, but play around with them. The point is they do adjust the aim of the headlights and very well I might add! I got some Sylvania Cool Blue bulbs and the brightness and beam pattern are great! I can see much better than with the stock headlights.

I discovered the aiming function because I was cleaning the lights. One of my Nokya bulbs exploded inside the JDM headlight housing, so I had to get all the pieces of glass out of there. Anyway, I'm glad that happened, because otherwise I would never have figured out how to aim these headlights.

    You guys should try it.

actually, i found out about it months ago, yeah, i was cleaning the housing too when i saw those two thingy that adjust the reflectors inside. this time, my problem is different, the wires i bought to convert my bulbs to one bulb keeps on burning, i dont know why? and yeah, i switched the wires so they are always on HI, because the low beam is just acceptable.... thanks...
