    Afe Cai

Has anyone heard of AFE CAI ? I found the company yesterday. The CAI
is shaped to stay in the engine bay. The filter is where the orig. intake is in the front of the engine bay. It has a shield to keep the warm air out,
CARB is pending. If you know about it please advise. Thx

advance Flow engineering (aFe). They specialize in SUV and truck applications. I would stick to a company that has more experience with sport compact, esp japanese applications. If you do have an 8th gen, EL Prototypes is selling a 98-99 Corolla CAI on their Ebay store.

It's a 05. I phone AFE and they told me that the filter runs out to the<br />
grill and gets all cold air.

Yeah, your right. They mostly deal in trucks and suvs. They told that they sent in 10 new intakes to CARB 9 months ago and have not got the results back. So they may be trying to break into the import market.

If it runs out to the grill, you may get hydrolock if any water gets in the system when it rains. And no problem man. Anytime.
