advantages of 5 lug over 4 lug

    if one breaks on the five you can still ride a bit better on 4 lug if one or even two break your screwed!

    5 lug can probabably hold more weight and handle more torque. I suppose that's why the bigger/heavier the vehicle, the more lugs it has.

    its hard to break a lug nut and ive seen peopel drive around on 2 or even three when they are at opposite corners.... its usually just what the car maker wants to do... I mean the gts has the same ammount of torque as a corolla and some civics are 5 lug and they arent more powerful.....

    it probably comes down to who will give them cheap wheels and are they 4 lug or 5 lug....

    the only benefit i can see of 5 lug is if one breaks your technically safer cuz of the angels not being 90 degrees.... as for rims most rim are made in 4 and 5 lug and in different patterns

    It's just safer overall.... and well on the other side better wheel designs.

    I got 3 lugs on the left side of my rolla... 3 in front 3 on back, right side.. I have 4 ont hose though

    5-lug axles are more expensive and theoretically handle power better.

    i just hate replacing them. the rolla is easy to do the Accord is a real bitch.
