    A Real HID RETROFIT

    topic 6166&highlight=high beam drl

My retrofit is 100% complete, :D
before i show you any good finished pictures ,
i will tease you a bit with some pictures below
that will give you a glimpse....

but first i will give you the specs:

HeadLamps: OEM HEADLAMPS - Painted Graphite Titanuim with Clear Coat
Projectors: Honda S2000 - sharpest cutoff and brighter hid projectors thus far/comparable to ECE Valeos
    Ballasts: Lexus IS300
    Wire harness: D-Xtremes
    Retrofiter: Liep at www.hidretro.com

After i get these completed I will then take out my OEM Headlamps and do a Retrofit in those with any projector that buyer provides. Anyone Interested let me know.

Looks nice so far - tough! Not for the amateur! S2k projectors, eh? There seem to be some on HID Forum that don't like the absolute cutoff of the S2k projectors, as these people are fans of the Hella projectors. Opinions?

how did i know you would be the first to post a reply

about that... well if you have had in your hands a hella projector and a s2k projector and compared the two... it wouldnt be fair.
the s2k is an obviously win.
More light and a wider farther beam pattern down the road.

new TL, ECE Valeo and RX8 projectors seem to have a pretty similar cutoff.
I havent seen in in person.

there was a post with a ECE Valeo Projector VS. S2K projector and the S2K won.

but of course its going to go back and forth...

any of the above mention projectors are nice. as well as the hard to find Q45 projector.

A Q45 retrofit would be pretty cool!

yeah i thought about that... but after doing measurements and various other research.. the projector is too big. It could be done but would have to cut more then i would want to deal with. but would look awesome.

JB Weld... sweet stuff. The last time I used this was to "stress-proof" my coil pack on my VR6. Looks good. I'd like to see a pictures of your retro after it's back in your car.
