    a new heart (4age ST)

wassup my fellow peeps here at vvti... haven't posted for a while... anyways, just wanted to share my recent engine swap...

a last look at my stock engine...

farewell 4afe... you've been good throughout the years...

    hello 2nd gen 4age silvertop...

my bad, i wish i had a better electrician for my wiring...

tada!!! actually, the front strut has always been there, but i couldn't find the pic with the 4afe still in it...

right now, the idling and handling are my two concerns... must have a 4age specialist to check it out, my mechanic couldn't deliver enough... :(

but i do love how she rides off... yesterday, i took it on a test run on the freeway along side a stock d15, i must say d 15's are fast evnthough a single cam that is... but then, my ST didn't embarass me, thank God...

in my case, 4age 20v silvertop is a direct bolt-on to my car (ae101) since my engine came from a jdm ae101 levin... you could use your stock engine supports... the engine does come with the tranny, headers and wiring harness and ecu...

what's important is having a good mechanic and electrician who are familiar with this kind of engine... mine took three days for taking off the old engine, swapping the new one in and ofcourse the electrical work... hoever, mine still needs more tweaking...

it is, the ST bolts directly to an ae101 body, because the levin in japan is also an ae101 (though two-door), hihihihi...

you could actually use the same eninge supports of that of a 4afe... and even your stock axels for that matter...

the engine consumes less gas compared to my stock 4afe...
