    first check if the light bulb is out. then check your wiring. you may also have a blown fuse somewhere. search each thing ive mentioned in that order and 9 times outta 10 you'll find your problem.

    take off all of the paneling inside of your car untill you get to the shifter. then unbolt shifter and check the light. its all in your chiltons manual. if you dont have one, invest in one. Its been my best friend for years now.
