make sure you got the right intake first man. because 98-99 corolla intakes are different than the 00-02. your corolla should be using a MAS sensor rather than a MAF sensor. im not so sure what that 3rd tube thing does.

    98 Corolla Intake

I'm pretty new around the Corolla scene, i've been more into modding computers than cars:p

Anyway, i have a 1998 Corolla, and I was wondering, the aftermarket intake has only 2 aux holes; the vacuum tube and the mass flow sensor. there is another tube that runs out of the engine that connects up to the stock airbox, and i don't know what to do about it. do i just hook a 9mm breather filter up to it? or 12mm filter? or anything at all? Thanks

By the way, this is my first post. I'm a newb so take it easy on me :)

yea mine is a 98-99 non VVT-i intake. if everything else fails, since it simply plugs up to the stock airbox, i'll just put a filter around it.

    btw whats MAS and MAF>?

kenny it's a MAP sensor not a MAS sensor LOL.

anyway the other thing is the temperature sensor.

the temp sensor goes to the intake. the one coming from the engine is NOT the temp sensor, and i can bet my life on that :p i think i'll go with a breather filter.
