    98-00 Instrument Cluster - Tach Thermometer?

    I have a ‘99 CE that had an instrument cluster without Tach; I exchanged it for a ‘99 cluster with Tach and swapped odometers.

    The LCD window on the Tach is for ‘temperature’ per my owner’s manual, but it's showing '-E' (error?)

    I wanted to know for what temperature? Inside / Outside / Engine?

    I probably don’t have a temperature sensor installed in a CE, and cluster may have come from a LE?

    Anyone wish to clarify?
    Thanks.

    its for the outside temp... you need the sensor to get that working... otherwise the cluster is working fine...

    Dexterous: where did you get the air temperature sensor? Also, is it easy to install? Thanks for your help.

    Private owner sold it to me, you can try Miguel at above post for one.<br />
    You just plug it in, into a socket outside you radiator, between the grill/bumber.

    Very easy if you don't swap odometers, just the clusters;
    some what easy if you swap odometers in clusters on top of that;
    harder if you swap gage faces for the clusters.
