94 corolla multiple oil leak questions

    the car is a 94 corolla 1.8

ok so im working on a friends 94 corolla and the oil pan seems to be leaking from the uppermost part. (the oil pan is 2 pieces...so f-ing wierd.) anyway i talked to toyota and the top part uses some gasket maker and the bottom part uses a regular gasket. for those who have done this what brand gasket maker did you use and what are the torque specs for the bolts.(the top part i really want the torque specs so the gasket maker doesnt get all sqeezed out.)

next question is are cam seals a common thing to leak on a corolla with 128000 on it? the valve cover was leaking so bad around the timing cover area so i was thinking thats probably it but i wanna see if there are people that have experienced cam seal leaks.

my last question is around how many miles average does the rear main seal hold up? like i said everytrhing is such a mess i cant tell whats leaking. i dont think all the brake clean in the world could clean this motor off. imagine if you took a bucket of oil and just dumped it in the engine bay. now drive for a long time and let it cake on everything. and of course they ask me for help....
