    8th gen sway bars

i've replaced my rsb with whiteline (which i am very happy with) but now i see a GB for the front and rear sways over at TN.

is replacing the fsb worth it? it's priced at 163$usd $22usd for shipping of 1 bar. (32$usd for 2 bars)

i could have sworn someone said the size of the stock fsb is adequate..

But the guy can get you any part you want.

Also just because the FSB size is adequate doesnt mean it is. It is hollow. Whiteline is solid.

but the quoted price above is for a mk2 supra sway bar.

Also both hollow or a solid sway bar will perform the same if they are the same diameter and length when the same moment is exerted to it.

They may perform the same but structural strength for hollow bars is compromised. Under extreme duress and stress, they can snap; say after hitting a really bad pothole.

which was my whole arguement for why hotchkis sway bar sucks. But the stock bar is hollow and I never hear of anyone snapping their stock bar. Also the TRD Japan bars are hollow, I've never heard of any problem with them either. If a hollow bar is manufactured with good quality materials it is just as good as a solid bar, and is even better because it'll only weigh a fraction of what a solid bar would.

And I just checked whitelines catalogue, they dont make fsb for ae101/111

I thought TRD japan sway bars were solid. Someone on vvti.net trying to sell them is advertising them as solid.

Wait, it says here on the whiteline website that there is a fsb for the AE111

Theres a guy on 9th gen who brought a TRD jpn sway bar thinking it was solid then sold it because he found out it was hollow when it got here.. However TRD does use a heavier gauge steel than hotchkis as you can tell by the weight difference.

I've seen people with 350z's just drilling different mounting pts on their stock sway bars to add more tension to it, anyone got any ideas on how would that work on our corollas?
