8th gen corolla... has anybody used wheel spacers? Recommendations on thickness?

So I got the dreaded bottoming out and through a few threads, some people have said wheel spacers would work. Anybody used any with their corollas? And they can range from 5mm up to ridiculous 50mm. I have "17 rims, which part would I measure to find out the desired thickness?

i used some 5mm spacers from pep boys on my 7th gen and they did the trick. anything above 5mm and you are going to have to change out your studs. as far as bottoming out, i would go with a stiffer suspension.

Thanks for the response... Do you remember how much you paid for them? And yeah, I already got Bilsteins on the way in terms of a stiffer suspension.
