8" sub

    I've got Rockford 6x9s and infinty 6.5s in my corolla, still with the stock deck (just waiting on the install kit for the deck) and i get a fair bit of distortion at higher levels. Just wondering if a that'll clear up a little after i put the deck in (Pioneer Deh-1500)??

    also i'm not a big fan of huge bass and rumble, i'm looking for a nice clean and clear sound with a nice crisp thump(i'm more of a punk rocker then a rapper). I was considering an 8" sub in a sealed box but i didn't know if it woudl be worth it. If placed in the trunk would it have a significant enough difference?

    IMO, not worth the effort and cost (wiring/amp/install, etc...) for the small benifit an 8 gives you. get a 10 or a 12. no need for 2 15's and a gigawatt of power to add some bottom end, but no sence of doing it if you cant hear it.
