his redtop isn't a smallport and although it breathes better, you might have to worry about running the TVIS (unless you find a way to mill a plate to remove the TVIS and use an ecu that doesn't recognize TVIS).

you could think of using smallport pistons to keep the price lower.... they are higher compression.... or even possibly using the 4a-fe pistons (i can get a set once i drive down and pull them from my old motor)... the 4a-fe pistons in a 7a-fe will bump up the compression.... you could also use a thinner head gasket or have the head milled down a bit (might be a good idea anyways since you'll probably have a used head)...

    you have lots of possibilities.....

    7AGE conversion. Anyone done here?

Hey, this summer, around end july i will be gathering all stuff needed to go about my engine conversion. Im going to be doing the 7AFE to 7AGE. I will go with forged hi-comp pistons, cause im gonna be N/A, at least for several years, unless i land this good job i want this summer, then i can do conversion and low-comp pistons and turbo setup. But im going more realistic plans right now. So anyones, hi-comp pistons, forged or hi-end rods. 4AGE headers to keep nice flow for exhaust, cause i have 2.25 exhaust on my 7AFE with headers. Talking to Turbo4AGE he said with high comp pistons, and possible tuning, i should push about 140-150hp. Nice gain and new engine and still maintain good gas milage, and have the nice ability of 7500k redline.

My question is... Has anyone done this here, or if you can give me tips and advice. I mean i got just over a month before i start finding my parts and such.
