    4AGZE SC 12 problem

    Hi there guys,

    I bought a MR2 AW111 2nd Gen 4AGZE motor.:D
We dropped the motor in and connect a stand alone ecu which is called DICKTATOR made in South Africa.

Started the car up and it over fuelling which we expected.
Took the car to the dyno centre to have it tuned only to find out that the SC does boost at all. :confused:We checked everything but to no avail and the SC don't evens want to boost 0.1bar:confused:

Can you guys help me with this problem please as I'm :superconf now...

ummm , well i love this sight but your not gonna get any technical support for that stuff here . . . .try club4ag.com

however , i myself have an ae101 3rd gen gze in an ae101 sedan.

now the first thing thats confusing me is that theres an aw11 mr2 not aw111 , and theres only one generation , of the car and only one generation of the gze that was in it , and it was a largeport 4age with forged internals , and had a s/c with a "+" sign on it , that produced 8 lbs. of boost and approximitly 145 hp at the crank.

the second gen mr2 is actually an sw20 , and it beared the 5sfe , and 3sgte in the sport models , so i know youre talking about a first gen gze and a first gen gze =]

sounds to me like you might be missing the s/c relay , also the gze ecu has a function in it that senses when the engine pulls below 8" vacuum (inches of mercury) it sends signal to the s/c relay and inturn energizes the electro magnetic clutch on the s/c.

now , you can by pass all that by wiring you a switch to manually cut the s/c on and off at will , but leaving it on under cruising , or normal driving , will result in you replacing the s/c in about 6 months to a year. you will wire constant power to the s/c and put your switch on the ground side (the way the factory has it).

if you want to dig a little deeper in this subject and want a little more input , i highly suggest joining the club4ag.com forum , click on technical link , then click on turbos , superchargers , and 4agze thread and posting your question there , like i said i like this site its cool , but theres not many old school 4a heads here like myselfand maybe 2 other versus club4ag . . .well the title says it all.

hope to see you over there . . . .my screen name is the same.
